With fingerprint authentication technology gaining wide acceptance both in the phone security and app security areas it would be good to see it move onto LDS tools platform as a way to log into your account or to unlock the app.

LDS Tools for iOS supports Touch ID instead of a passcode for getting into the LDS Tools app. What percentage of Android phones (newer ones) have fingerprint readers? I know that all of Apple's devices ship with Touch ID.

Most new Android devices have fingerprint readers that use the fingerprint authentication API that was added in Android 6.0 Marshmallow
The first two phones to support it were the Nexus 5X and 6P, but a host of newer devices now support it including the Samsung Galaxy S7 and many LG phones.

The Forum is primarily user-to-user support. We can discuss things here but can take no action. The best method to get input to the developers is to use the feedback found in the application.
