Is it possible to edit
I am wondering if it is possible to edit your own personal/family information...such as, phone number, email address, etc...or if you have to contact a specific person who needs to do that!?

You can go to lds.org/directory and update some information. You can't update your address that way. You'll need to contact your ward membership clerk for that.
