LDS Tools have same functionality as Ward Tools?

Postby marvrust » Mon May 16, 2011 2:28 pm

I have used Ward Tools in the past that gave bishopric members access to much of the same membership information (plus reports) that is contained in MLS. Will LDS Tools eventually be able to provide the same information that had been available on Ward Tools?

We can only speculate, but a good indication that this is the general direction is the fact that the Church now owns rights to the source code for Ward Tools. See http://www.wardtools.org for a statement of the transition plan, at least from the perspective of Ward Tools.
Questions that can benefit the larger community should be asked in a public forum, not a private message.

Will LDS Tools eventually show membership record numbers if the user is a member of the Stake Presidency or local Bishopric / Branch Presidency? Our stake leadership formerly used Ward Tools for this and it was very helpful. Unfortunately, that data does not appear in LDS Tools.
