Visibility Settings
We have changed the visibility settings of all members who have requested no contact to Leadership Only. I knew that hides those members and families in the Directory, but I did not know until yesterday that it also hides them in LDS Tools. This does not surprise me at all, but it raised a question yesterday when new home teaching routes were handed out. A home teacher asked why he could not see a family that he had been assigned to visit in LDS Tools. I told him and his district supervisor that the family had requested no contact, so their visibility settings were set to hide them from the general membership of the ward. They gave me a nod and a grunt of understanding, but no argument.

Do you know if LDS Tools use the same rules, i.e., does a leader still see them?drepouille wrote:.. . it also hides them in LDS Tools.

Yes. The HPG First Assistant asked me why he could see the family in LDS Tools, but the home teacher could not.
