Missing(iOS)/Duplicate(Andriod) out of unit leadership

I'm an assistant stake clerk in a married student ward (all of the stake presidency, high council, etc are out of unit members). We're having an issue pretty much across the board, but it different for the different device types (Android or iOS).

For everyone in the stake running LDS Tools on iOS, almost the entire stake leadership is missing. I show up, one of the counselors shows up, and about 1/3 of the high council. I've personally looked at about a dozen different member's devices (with various leadership callings from stake president down to ward nersury leader) and they all have the same issue.

On Android it's almost the opposite (I'll try to explain). The stake presidency is all there but by my counts they have all of the high council members that the iOS users are missing. They have almost the entire high council twice.

Everything is correct on the LDS.org directory, so it seems to just be an app issue. I can't begin to explain how huge an issue this is. Almost everyone in the stake uses LDS Tools almost exclusively (don't even really know that the LDS.org directory exists) and I'd say that about half of the membership (no iOS user) can't get the contact information for most of the stake leadership.

I have deleted the app entirely, re-synced my account, and talked to quite a few users, so I'm pretty confident this was an issue that was introduced with the v3.2 update.

It is not new. The issue comes and goes in various iterations with each app update and with iOS and Android handling out-of-unit members differently.

It partly has to do with differences in the operating systems and the way they handle permissions. There are probably other reasons, as well. I imagine it is a coding nightmare for the developers. All you can do is pass along the concern through in-app feedback, although I am certain they are already aware of the situation and are trying to figure out how to deal with it.

I served in a presidency and was the only one with access to member information (Android). The others used iOS and were very frustrated. The tables turned when they had access to Handbook 1 for over a year and I did not. It comes and goes.

The only workaround is to use LDS.org which also can be accessed with a phone browser if needed.

That shocks me (that it's not new and comes and goes). I've been in the stake for 3 years and never seen this issue come up.

Just the fact that we have so many out of unit members in the stake (every bishop, high counselor, and every other stake leader minus myself and a few stake auxiliary counselors), it's wreaking havoc on us. I sent an email to LDSToolsSupport@ldschurch.org (which I found after creating my topic), but it was on a pretty dated (2012) "read first" post in the iOS subtopic. Is that the best contact or is there a new one I can't seem to find? The stake clerk contact Global Service Center and they said they couldn't do anything so we'd have to contact the LDS Tools support team directly (thus why I'm here)

It has been a good three years. The seven before that were a nightmare.

For over a year our stake president could not even see information about his members in the app directory. But I agree. It is a pain, especially after you get used to using something that works.

That is a good address, but a better one is for the specific OS you are using. The iOS guys work their challenges. The Android guys work theirs. The goal is to be comparable in features, but in reality, they see-saw back and forth.

For example, the Android folks can make the out-of-unit members go away. They have done it before. But I am glad they are leaving them duplicated for now and feel that seeing double is better than not seeing anything at all. As far as I can tell, though, neither team has solved the problem.

By the way, the LDS Tools support teams rarely read the Forum. In spite of what the GSC may have said, this is not the way to contact them directly. The way to do that, as mentioned, is to send feedback through the specific app you are using, and to encourage others to do the same.
