I am looking for some direction and help. I am orienting a new bishopric which wants to use the many new ways to use the digital what ever. They in turn want to help/train our leaders. My calling is Ward Executive Secretary. I am not a techy. Would you evaluate the following statement and give any further explanation or training you feel applicable.
"LDS Tools" are mobile applications. Other mobile applications are: Gospel Library, Family Search Memories, Family Search Tree, Mormon Channel, Bible Videos, Book of Mormon, LDS Music, LDS Youth, Scripture Mastery, & Ensign.
Some of these applications will require a log in. A log in is required and beneficial to the extent that you are able to view or even in some cases perform work or gather information that is connected to you, your calling, or edit personal information.
"LDS Tools" are different from "LDS.org online tools".
Some "LDS.org online tools" are: Notes, Maps, Directory, Calendar, Newsletter, and Lesson Schedules.
"LDS Tools" will give you access to your ward Directory and Calendar when you have a log-in or pin. It will also grant you to info. & rights according to your calling. The functionality is good but limited in comparison to "LDS.org online tools". Specifically Calendar and Directory.
"LDS.org online tools" will give you the most functionality, and features. These items are somewhat replicated as applications on "LDS Tools"
You can get help with how to use the functionality of "LDS Tools" at ___________?
Thank you for your input.
