I'd like to throw an idea out there and see what you think. How about we develop an application that allows users to connect with other lines of their family serendipitously by being proximity to others who have ancestral lines in common.
We could use their family history profiles from an online profile they've built through a church website , location services, central server to capture location and trigger proximity events.
The application could have a tablet component to be able to share and compare documents between potential genealogical matches.
The key benefit would be to connect people on a face to face level to share information that might otherwise take much longer to convey in written form.
