CDOL Update when Home Phone is Removed in MLS

Our stake president disconnected his land telephone line at home. He no longer has a home phone, and uses his cell phone exclusively. His membership record was updated to delete the Household Phone. His Individual Phone on his membership record is now his cell phone number.
We went into stake MLS to update his phone number for CDOL, but the home number comes from the membership record, so the stake cannot update it through stake MLS.
Apparently CDOL updates the Home Phone from the Household Phone in MLS. Since this number no longer exists (the cell phone is not the household phone), how do we get his number changed in CDOL? The CDOL Home Phone should now be the same as the Individual Phone, which is the cell phone number.
There is no longer a Household Phone in MLS on the membership record, but CDOL does not seem to recognize changes unless it receives "new" information to replace the old.
But it would not be correct to put the stake president's cell phone number into the household phone position on the membership record, since the rest of the family does not receive calls at that number.
Will this modern but very common development require manual intervention to fix? For now, the 1st counselor is fielding calls from folks outside the stake.
