Stake boundary map on CDOL

#1

Post by zaneclark »

I know that someone on this forum has indicated that he works on CDOL, so maybe he can tell me when I can expect to see the Stake boundary maps of our new stake. The google earth map was posted within a couple of days but the clearer street map hasn’t appeared yet after 10 days

Which map are you talking about? This is what I see in CDOL for my stake.

Letter Size
Unit Boundary Map (1.1 MB)
Detail 1 (1.2 MB)

Poster Size
Unit Boundary Map (9.1 MB)
Detail 1 (10 MB)
Google File (KMZ)
Stake Boundaries (4 KB)
Ward Boundaries (12 KB)
Overlay Boundaries (3 KB)

BLCC Forms
Stake or District Organization Application (228 KB)
Ward or Branch Organization Application (206 KB)

Are you perhaps thinking about the maps in maps.lds.org?

I would like to see either the letter or poster size maps which show streets much better than the google earth map. I’m sure they will appear eventually.

I just show the files that are on the maps server. I'm not sure what their process is for generating those maps.

Maybe to clarify a little, this is what i see:

Letter Size
(blank)

Poster Size
(blank)

Google File(KMZ)
Stake Boundaries
Ward Boundaries

On another note concerning this, I opened a boundary map of the neighboring stake where we pulled 4 ward to form our new stake, and the map still shows the wards in that stake, although the google maps of our new stake includes these wards.

Please can I get a direct link to the Stake boundary map section of the CDOL?

I don't see how that's possible as any link would specify the stake.

Pull up the stake in question in CDOL and up at the top, under the CDOL banner, is a line of links. The one you want is "Unit Boundary Forms/Maps".
