LCR access rights matrix

#1

Post by aclawson »

Is there an updates access table to reflect rights through LCR on lds.org?

Specifically, who has access to the 'send a message' function? The published access table, as is, lists 'send a message' under the "forms" menu, but that is for the desktop install, the website has this function under 'Applications', which is not addressed on the access table.
  • Does an RS president have the ability to use the recently enhanced 'send a message' function to email "all women" through the website?
  • Can an HPGL/EQP send a message to all members of that quorum in that ward through the site?
  • Can a primary president send a message to "Parents of primary children"?
  • Can the YW/YM presidents send messages to "Parents of Young Men/Young Women"?

The Send a Message in the access table is talking about the Send a Message under Applications in LCR. The access table does not provide any information on rights in MLS (the desktop program).

According to the access table quorum and auxiliary presidencies do not have access to the Send a Message tool. Only the bishopric, executive secretary and clerks (except Finance clerk) have access.

I don't recall any table listing calling-based rights to the MLS desktop program.

Is this the access table you're looking at?

Yes. And "Send a message" is under the "forms" group, but it is only under "forms" in the desktop version, not the web version.

Even though they grouped it with Forms in the access table, it is referring to the web (LCR) version. The access table does not have any information on the desktop (MLS) rights.

The access table groupings do not correspond exactly to the LCR menu options. For instance, Print Certificates is also under Forms but it has it's own section under Reports in the menu and it's not in the Form section.
