Third Counselors

#1

Post by grahamf72 »

Due to covering a large geographic area, and hence holding meetings in two locations, our ward has been given permission to have Third Counselors in some of the auxiliaries. Is it possible to record these in LCR, so that they have the permissions that would normally be granted to Counselors, and so that they appear in the ward sustaining list?
They are currently added as a custom calling, but they don't get access permissions, and don't appear on the sustaining list.

I'm curious who gave permission. I wouldn't expect anyone less than a GA would be able to go beyond the Handbook like that.

Whoever gave permission would have to go to their "upline" to have LCR changed to support it. Such changes have to be approved by the Priesthood Department. It's not "developer discretion".

It's not currently possible to record third counselors in Leader and Clerk Resources. Leader and Clerk Resources follows the Handbook pretty strictly, and doesn't handle exceptions well, so a general policy change would be needed.
