Access in LCR for High Priest Group Leader Missing

Our High Priest Group Leader is an out of unit member. He had access to edit home teaching routes in LCR all of last year, but for some reason lost that access in LCR starting in 2016. When I (the branch clerk) look at the access table in LCR, the callings of Elders Quorum President and High Priest Group Leader are not even in the list of callings with access to LCR functions. Any help resolving the issue is appreciated. Thank you.

Which access table are you looking at? this one shows he has access. This one shows "Melchizedek Priesthood or Auxiliary Presidency" has access.

The first place is to check the CDOL and make sure he's still listed as the HPGL using a standard calling.

Thank you for your help. I see from the access table for "Melchizedek Priesthood or Auxiliary Presidency" that the High Priest Group Leader in our branch should indeed have access to see and change Home Teaching Routes in 2016 just as in 2015. In LCR, it shows our High Priest Group Leader and our Elders Quorum President are listed in the appropriate standard calling. However, on CDOL, neither show up. Our Elders Quorum President shows up on CDOL with his historical calling of counsellor in the branch presidency, but not his active calling. What needs to happen then for access to be granted again to our High Priest Group Leader? Thanks.

I confirmed the Elders Quorum President still has access to the aforementioned LCR features, so I think this indicates the issue is with the High Priest Group Leader being an out of unit member.

That kind of problem is almost always the failure to put them in the proper standard calling.

However, now I'm wondering. The system follows the business rules handed down by the Priesthood department. If the system doesn't allow something, it's probably against the Handbook.

I see nothing in the handbook about allowing a out-of-unit member to serve as HPGL. There are many adaptions (simplifications) that are allowed to fit the program to the size of the unit. But generally speaking, all callings are to come from within the unit. That may be the source of your problem.

Even so, I'll bet your HPGL no longer has the calling in the system - that's why the denied access. And if I'm right about the Handbook, you won't be able to put him back in that position.

If he does hold the calling, make sure he's still using HIS LDS Account and isn't somehow logging in with someone else's account.

Our High Priest Group Leader regained access by deleting and installing his account again on his computer. It appears the issue was somehow related to his computer not functioning best I can tell. Anyhow, for the purposes of this topic, the issue is resolved. Thank you all for your help.

I am having a similar concern for our ward's Young Men's president. The LCR Access table states that "Melchizedek Priesthood and Auxiliary Presidency" have specific areas of access, and I assume this applies to the Young Men's president.

He has created an lds.org account and can log in to lds.org just fine. However, he receives an "access denied" message when he tries to access LCR. His calling is listed correctly on lds.org. I released him and re-entered his calling to see if things will reset, but asked him to wait until tomorrow to see if that resets anything.

Any other suggestions?

Young men's president is listed in the help center. So that's not an issue.

It does take some time for the permissions to propagate (usually less than 24 hours, but it's not usually instant).
Is this Young Men's president able to access other ward-specific tools on LDS.org, like the Directory? (if not, his membership record number might not be recorded correctly on his LDS Account)
