I'm hoping this is the correct forum, if not please reassign.

Question #1--We have a teacher age young man who turned 14 several months go whom we are unable to assign as a home teacher. His profile shows he is unassigned, however he does not appear on the "Unassigned Potential Home Teachers" list, and is not available when we try to assign him as a companion Home Teacher. His name in Cadyn in our ward teachers quorum.

Question #2--We have an Elder assigned to our High Priests Group who is a Home Teaching District Supervisor. His name is not available for assignment to that calling. Policy does limit this calling to High Priests only, that we can find, and he was set apart several months ago Does he need to be a High Priest for this assignment or can he be added to the position on the High Priest's database. Our Ward Clerk has not been able to complete this either.

Was the new teacher's priesthood office recorded?

For #2, only high priests are able to be assigned to the district supervisor position under high priests. Leader and Clerk Resources enforces things pretty strictly.

The new Teacher is showing under Teacher's Quorum as a member of that group.

Another idea – is the teacher an out-of-unit member, meaning his real record is in another ward but there's an out-of-unit record created for him in your ward? This could be the case if he lives part-time with parents who live in two different wards.

He is a regular in-unit, full time member...I'm thinking you are correct and the ordination didn't get properly recorded. We shall see.

The ordination was not recorded. Even though he has been assigned to the teachers quorum, he record shows that he is ordained as a deacon.

I certainly appreciate the, as always, timely response.

Note that if he was ordained before his 14th birthday, the system will reject the ordinance. Even if it's by only a few days.
