During tithing settlement a few members noticed errors in children records: birth date, for example. The children are inactive members living in different wards. Can the ward clerk of the parent's ward or the stake clerk update the records, or can this only be done by the ward clerk of the ward wherein the child resides?

You can try a special request, but I think it can only be by the clerk of the ward that holds the records.
