Strange Chars in Progress Record

When I look at names in the Progress Record, I see something like this: ROGER�� (Note: I am posting the escaped values because I get an SQL error trying to Submit my topic when I post the real text.) Should these characters show up next to names?

How does this person's name show up in other places in LCR or the Directory?

The person is an investigator, so their name only shows up in the Progress Record.
I found out the problem. I talked with the missionaries and they were adding in icons to peoples names for additional tracking. The icons look correct on the iPad, but the icons did not show up the same way on the website. It will be something for me to deal with when I look at the progress record.
