LCR Librarian = 1 Only?

#1

Post by computx »

We have two couples called as Librarians so that they can each attend one of their 2nd/3rd hour meetings. MLS used to allow us to enter multiple people with the title of "Librarian". LCR only seems to allow one "Librarian" with multiple "Assistant Librarian" possibilities. Is this by design? Could we request it be changed?

At the bottom of the LCR page submit your request using the feedback link. We can discuss this in the forum but we have no authority or means of contact with those who have authority to make those changes.

I'll just point out that Handbook 2: 12.6.1 refers to "the" ward librarian. So it would seem that LCR is enforcing a strict reading of the Handbook.

The scheduling of librarian/assistant librarians is to follow the goal you've outlined. So there doesn't appear to be a need to change LCR. The only difference from the way you're doing things now is just one person is designated as being the "in charge" person. That might be an improvement, because when you have multiple people with exactly the same responsibility, then no one is really responsible.
