Is there any kind of approval process for calling updates made by Auxiliary Presidencies?
If not I am going to need to do some training with the Auxiliary Presidencies to address the concerns mentioned in the post linked below.

Yes, you should train your auxiliary presidencies. There's been some discussion here about possibly adding workflow in the future, but if it ever happens, it will not be soon.
