That's a good suggestion. I proxied as one of them and was able to get in to HT.russellhltn wrote:I'd suggest you sit down with them and see the problem for yourself rather than accept their "report".davidc65 wrote:Also, our HPG Assistants are both reporting not being able to even get to HTing.
Make sure the MRN shown on their account matches the MRN of the member you've put in that position.

Absolutely! Before "escalating" these issues into feedback and reports to developers, it might be best to make a "face-to-face, and bring-your-device" meeting after church with them, or meet in the clerk's office and watch them navigate with their login on the clerk's computer, and ask them to show you the problem they see.russellhltn wrote:I'd suggest you sit down with them and see the problem for yourself rather than accept their "report".davidc65 wrote:Also, our HPG Assistants are both reporting not being able to even get to HTing.
You may be amazed at WHY it won't work!
"You're using your spouses account?"
"Yes, we share our Lds.org login."
"A soft answer turneth away wrath" works great on LDSTech forum boards!

Let's just say, if it affected every HPG Assistant, we'd be hearing about it! So something unique is going on.

When will visiting teaching coordinators have access to lcr and be able to make changes and do reporting in the system instead of MLS?

Re: Home Teaching Reporting on LDS.org
The change takes place when the stake switches to LCR and MLS switches to read only. I believe for most stakes in the U.S. and Canada, that has already happened, but there may still be some left that have not been switched by Church headquarters.davenportkariann1 wrote:When will visiting teaching coordinators have access to lcr and be able to make changes and do reporting in the system instead of MLS?
If you are already using LCR, your visiting teaching supervisors already have access. If there is an access problem, have your clerk or Relief Society president check to see that the visiting teaching supervisor is recorded in the position as a standard calling. The clerk should know what that means, and the RS president probably doesn't even realize she can do it yet.

Re: Home Teaching Reporting on LDS.org
This process is complete for all units worldwide that will have these capabilities in LCR 3. There are several hundred units that are not changing, primarily due to limited Internet access. If you're on the LDSTech forum, odds are pretty high that your unit is not on that list!lajackson wrote:The change takes place when the stake switches to LCR and MLS switches to read only. Where can we make a suggestion to have a home and visiting teaching app. Just to view who someones HT or VT is stuff like that. Not necessarily for reporting purposes. It's kinda of a drag all of the steps required to look at lds.org online on your phone.

Re: Home Teaching Reporting on LDS.org
Use the Feedback link on any page at LDS.org to get your suggestion to the developers. An additional method is to use the feedback/bug reporting link on your mobile device to request the capability. That will get your suggestion to the developers of your mobile device, but not to other developers working on other types of devices, although I think they trade notes from time to time and make an effort to provide similar capabilities on each of the various mobile devices.rachbill wrote:Where can we make a suggestion . . .

Re: Home Teaching Reporting on LDS.org
I suggest you make that suggestion on the feedback option of the device you use: If you use lds.org, make the suggestion there, if you use Lds tools on a mobile device, I think they have their own feedback options. We are repeatedly told that the developers see these feedbacks...rachbill wrote:Where can we make a suggestion to have a home and visiting teaching app. Just to view who someones HT or VT is stuff like that. Be specific in telling the developers what you would like, and how this will help you minister to others and fulfill your duties and live and share the gospel.

Re: Home Teaching Reporting on LDS.org
It's unlikely that there will be a standalone home and visiting teaching app. There has been plenty of discussion about what home and visiting teaching information will flow into LDS Tools. That's where any information will end up ... in due time.
