18 yr old YW not showing up in action and interview list

When a young woman turns 18, she joins the Relief Society. She would not have a youth interview at her 18th birthday. This is the general rule, but other factors can play a role as to if a young woman should join the relief society earlier than her 18th birthday.

I believe most wards use High School graduation to mark the transition. So you'll have some 18yo in YW and some 17yo in YSA.

Handbook 2: 10.1.5 says "A young woman normally advances into Relief Society on her 18th birthday or in the coming year."

This becomes a problem for the Leadership portal, because it should follow MLS's grouping and not blindly go with the 18th birthday. Otherwise there will be a disconnect between MLS's reports and the Leadership portal.

Currently both MLS and CHQ will advance them automatically, then if the clerk moves them back in MLS that change will be sent to CHQ so that both should stay in sync.

How does the clerk move them back in MLS? I'm having a similar problem in that I cannot place an 18-year-old HS senior in the calling of Laurels President. What is the process I should follow in this case?

This thread is 4 years old. The idea is still the same, but the mechanics has changed. I don't think it can be done in MLS anymore. You'd have to use LCR to change the class assignments.

What is the process I should follow in this case?

• Log on to LDS.org and select Leader and Clerk Resources from the My Account and Ward menu.
• Select the member from the Membership > Member List menu and then click the "View Member Profile" button.
• Select the "Callings/Classes" tab at the member's Member Information page.
• In the Class Assignments section click the "Edit" button to the right of the Relief Society organization.
• Select the Laurel class in the drop-down list-box in the "class" column.

Now you can select the Laurel class presidency calling in the Member Callings section of the Callings/Classes tab.
