Downloading directory entries

It seems we can no longer download the information from the ward list to a spreadsheet or contact organizer like outlook. Is that true?

No, you still can do it. The option is called "Export Households" and is located in the left menu of the Directory on lds.org (Tools > Directory or
http://lds.org/directory). It creates a CSV file, which is easily imported into a spreadsheet.
Any ward member has that option for their own ward. Some stake leaders also have that option for each ward in the stake.

Our stake prints an annual directory of all the wards. Is there anyway to download it instead of printing it? Also can I download a positions list for my ward?

The post just before yours explains this. Note the second paragraph - if you're not one of those stake leaders you can only do it for your ward.

Currently there is no way to download the organizational list. You can print a PDF of the leadership directory by checking "Leadership and Meeting Info". To get a full list of callings and positions you would have to do a cut and paste of each organization screen.
