Once I'm in the Directory I can't go to the Calendar

If I browse to the Directory, and then attempt to browse to the calendar (click Tools > Calendar) I just get redirected to the Directory.
If I manually type in the church-calendar into the url it works. If I just wait about a minute, it works. My guess is that the menu is being loaded asynchronously with JS and my browser is not showing this to me in the form of the page loading animation.
