Beta Directory: Side Panel Household Photos Distorted

This is a little different than the issue I reported where photos are enlarged beyond their resolution. A problem I'm noticing is that several household photos look terrible and blurry on the side panel, but they look great when shown in the blown-up view. I can shrink the full photo in the web browser down to a small view, comparable to what's shown on the side panel, and it still looks good. I wonder if the church is using an image library to size the photo for the side panel, rather than send a larger image and let the browser shrink it? I could understand that to reduce bandwidth. But something seems wrong with the side panel photos. It's not all of them, but I've seen several of them with problems.
