Photo size limit?

I had a problem approving a photo again today (I did several successfully this afternoon and then one more this evening that had problems).

I was trying to upload a photo and assign a household photo. The upload was fine; however, when I went to assign, it kept failing (the problem we experienced for much of 2016). I noticed my photo was over 2GB. I wondered if the size was causing a problem. I tried reducing the size with JPEG Mini. It was still over 1 GB and failed. Then I exported the photo at a smaller size and ran it through JPEG Mini. That got it down to 273 KB. When I uploaded this version, I was able to successfully assign it.

I don't know if it was a fluke that it just worked this time, or if the size of the photo caused problems. If it was the size, I would think it would fail on upload, not on assignment. I didn't have time to do a good QA evaluation of permutations and combinations to see what fails and doesn't fail; I just found it interesting that with a smaller size, it worked.

If members are uploading 1-2GB, I'd hope they'd fail.

I assume you meant MB.

Looks like my late-night brain doesn't work as well as yours ;)
