Wife's photo won't upload, but the rest of the families photo will

Postby larsen1167 » Tue Dec 22, 2015 11:10 pm

I've been able to successfully upload photos for myself and my children on my lds tools account (via iPhone app), but I have not been able to upload an individual photo for my wife. She too has been unsuccessful. We both get the following warning message...Unable to upload photo, please try again later. Any ideas?

Have you tried uploading in the Directory web page?
Have you searched the Wiki?
Try using a Google search by adding "site:tech.lds.org/wiki" to the search criteria.

russellhltn has a great idea. Try that.

I just thought I should confirm: your wife is a baptized member, correct? Her records are in your ward and not somewhere else, correct? She has the correct membership number associated with her LDS Account, correct?

I am having the same problem, except with my #2 son. First I can't use any Windows browser to upload a picture (IE tells me that Firefox isn't supported, weird) and Firefox and Chrome aren't supported, so using the Directory web page is a dead end. Second, when I use LDS Tools on Android I get the same error message as larsen1167. I was able to update myself, my wife and three of our four children, but not this son. He is 7, so questions about whether he is a baptized member are not applicable. All six photos were cropped from the same image and are exactly the same size, so there are no variables there.

I have had success with uploading photos using safari browser-- typing URL https://www.lds.org/directory/?lang=eng in my address bar---not using any favorites, shortcuts etc due to shared background files among browsers from copying from one browser to the next.

Did you get this to work, @SingerGuy? I'm having trouble uploading photos for 3 of my family members - the others upload fine...well, intermittently, but I got them to work. I've tried Safari, other browsers, the Android LDS Tools app, and my photos are all the same size, etc. Any ideas?

I finally got it to work in my Android LDS Tools app (Version 2.5.0), but I still can not get it to work in I.E., Firefox or Chrome.

Thanks. I still can't get it working in either the Android LDS Tools app (same version as you) or any browser. :(
