Printing - stake leadership

Postby gbillings » Tue Jun 18, 2013 6:48 am

There is a print button but nothing happens when you click or select it. The print out of the ward leadership give all three coumns and doesn't format for leadership only. There is no feedback button on this directory page so I had to find this place to vent my frustrations

For me, the Print button worked fine for stake leadership. I got a nice three column print out with the stake presidency, high council, and stake auxiliary presidencies.

I'm using Firefox; I haven't had time to check out other browsers.

That does seem to be the case for ward printouts.

You can always use the Submit Feedback link at the bottom of the LDS.org home page -- that can be used to submit feedback on any part of LDS.org.

I am using Windows 7 operating system and internet explorer as a browser. My print button doesn't work and it would seem like we should only get the one column to print out instead of three.

Seems to work fine for me: Win7 in IE10. I get a list of the entire stake leadership. (The help file says "Note: You can print the entire directory only. You cannot print a selective list of households or groups." So this seems to be as designed.)

What version of IE are you running? On some sites the church has dropped support for IE8. If you're not on 10, I'd highly recommend it. The built-in spellcheck alone is worth it.

I will check my version of I.e. but I think I have the latest.

Note that some users have reported problems with IE 10, although russellhltn reported he's able to do this successfully in IE 10. You might try it with the compatibility mode on or off just to see if it makes a difference.

If you're able, try Chrome or Firefox just to see if it works for you there. It might be a workaround while a problem gets fixed.

I tried it in compatibility mode, but I couldn't get the directory to load at all.

However, I did notice something. At the risk of pointing out the obvious: In the left column, "Stake Leaders and Organizations" must be highlighted. That will cause a list of leaders to display in the right column. If you have "Search Stake Membership" highlighted in blue, then the print button is grayed out and non-functional.
