Is it a normal operating function for the Building Scheduler with the new calendar to not be able to add or change an event? We can only make reservations? If so, how do we handle conflicts, weddings, funerals etc?

A BS can't add an event unless they are also a calendar editor for the calendar in question. But they can edit an event that's scheduled for a resource they control by going into week view and turning on the associated location.
