The event following an all-day event with a building assignment is pushed to the right. This only occurs if there is a building assignment that causes the house icon to be displayed next to the event.
It looks like the following event might be getting pushed to the right by the FLOATed house -- adding padding-bottom: 1px to the all-day event pushes it down and corrects the alignment.

I had noticed this, too, but had not narrowed down the cause. I think your analysis is spot-on; the precise cure the developers choose may be different from yours, but your solution certainly works, and confirms the exact nature of the problem.
