Cannot delete duplicate calendar

We have two calendars that were created with very similar names, and we are trying to delete one of them, but it will not go away. First we thought that we had to delete all the events on the calendar first, so we did that, but we still can't delete the calendar. We have changed the status of the calendar to "inactive" but it still won't delete. We ended up changing the calendar to "Private" so that no one sees it, and then changing the name to "Delete" so that we know it is the calendar we are trying to delete. When we click on the red X to delete the calendar, the hourglass just spins and spins and it never goes away. I am only an "editor" and not the "website administrator". Would he be able to delete the calendar, even if as an "editor" I cannot?

Well, calendar administrators do have more abilities than editors, but theoretically someone who is an editor for a calendar should be able to delete that calendar. However, you've done a lot of work trying to delete this calendar, so it's certainly worth a try to have a calendar administrator see if he can do it. It should only take him a minute or two to try and then you'll know if the problem is related to your calendar permissions.
