Sync'ed Calendar Shows New Events, but not changes or deletions

I'm a Mac user (computer, iPad, & iPhone); I've noticed that new items show up in my sync'ed calendar, but changes or deletions don't show up automatically. I have to manually refresh the calendar on computer or shut down my iPad/iPhone are power up again before I can see changes and deletions. Is this a known issue?
