If you are a calendar editor or administrator in the ward (or the stake unit) designated in the reservation, then you can simply create an event that overrides the reservation. If, on the other hand, the reservation is assigned to a different ward, or is "blocked", then indeed you need the help of a building scheduler, as RussellHltn noted.
