I have similar results as tortdog:
- if I add "new." to the link from lds.org, the church calendar comes up fine in my google calendar and on my droid.
- if I use the liddicott domain workaround, it also works
- using the "http://lds.org/..." link given by the web site, it fails
- using "http://www.lds.org/..." seems to hang for a long time trying to download the calendar ... but I didn't keep it running to see if it eventually works.
My google calendar is from the "google for my domains" realm of google.

Also tried new.
I also tried adding new. and thought it was working but not so. Tried on another persons account with them and no success.
Any ideas what is going on with this syncing problem? Have quite a few discouraged people.

Double Entry on Google
When I use this "https://mail.liddicott.com/ldscalendar.php/xxxxxx" all entries are doubled when imported to google calendar. I have tried the other ideas thus far with no luck.

Have you refreshed your browser page? I've noticed doubled entries on occasion immediately after an import into Google Calendar, but a refresh fixes it.jbach wrote:When I use this "https://mail.liddicott.com/ldscalendar.php/xxxxxx" all entries are doubled when imported to google calendar. Questions that can benefit the larger community should be asked in a public forum, not a private message.

No workaround
None of the methods work for me. Maybe there are problems with calendars with 1000 events on them?skiddlyarcus wrote:I have similar results as tortdog:

Sync calendars to ipod and phone?
I have used the workaround and it works great to get the calendar to show up on my computer. I can't get the church calendar items to show up on my ipod touch or my husband's Palm Pixi phone. Do you have any suggestions? I am new to Google calendar, so I welcome any help.
Thanks!
Barbara

Assumption 1: You did get the Church calendar to show up on your Google Calendar
Assumption 2: You have properly set up your ipod touch and Palm Pixi to bring down your Google Calendar
You will likely just need to tell Google to also sync your newly added calendar by going to: http://m.google.com/sync (FROM YOUR MOBILE DEVICE), then set the new calendar to sync.

I have the Pixi. If the calendar is on Google, then the Pixi should pick it up. Go to the Pixi/Calendar/Preferences & Accounts. Make sure you have the Google account linked. It will show up under Accounts. If you don't see it, then click Add An Account. If it's there and you still don't see it, then go to Calendar View Options and make sure that the URL calendar that is properly working in Google is set up with visible as "On".
If all that works, then try going to Google and making sure that the URL calendar is set to visible. If you have done all that, it will (should?) work.
