Official word on a Google Calendar sync fix?

Has there been one?
Anything like "It's in Google's hands" or "We're aware and are scrambling at this moment to fix it" or "ETA June 2011" or "This will be addressed in LUWS v3.0"?
The syncing feature of this new calendar is really the 'killer app', imho. Just want to get word out to our parishoners before we loose our chance at convincing them to abandon their native Google Calendars in favor of this one.
