New Elders Quorum President | Can't Edit Calendar | Who Issues Administrative Access

Hi,

I have a new calling as the Elders Quorum President in my Ward. I am listed, as of a week ago, as the Elders Quorum President in LDS tools, and it appears that I have all of the tools I might need in Leader and Clerk Resources. However I do not have the plus (+) icon in LDS.org Calendars to allow me to edit the Elders Quorum Calendar. I have attempted to attach screen shots of my wife editing capabilities, that I currently need.

My Wife if the Young Women's leader, also newly called, and she has editing capabilities with the plus (+) icon found in the upper right corner of the screen. Somehow she was given editing permissions when she was added in as President of the Young Women's, but I was not given editing permissions when I was added as Elder Quorum President.

Is there someone in my Ward or Strake that I can speak with that can provide me administrative access to the Elders Quorum Calendar as the Elders Quorum President?

Also, can my councilors have editing capabilities?

The answer to the question of exactly who controls editing capabilities is probably somewhere on the forums. Finding where the answer is located may well be beyond my search abilities. Lacking an official answer, if it were me, I'd ask my ward clerk, then the stake technology specialist, then the stake clerk.

If you are unable to get an answer, please reply to this thread and I'll ask the other moderators/administrators. It's likely one of them knows for sure. One of them might see this new thread and jump in with the answer. If you _DO_ find an answer, please post a pointer to the answer here in case someone else has the same question and this thread would be helpful.

In the calendar system, only bishopric and clerks get access by default (they are full administrators by default). Everything else depends on who and which callings are assigned access to which calendars by those administrators. So you need to have a default administrator (probably a clerk) go into the system and make sure the calling of EQ president has been given rights to the elders quorum calendar.

This. The rights are automatic only if whoever set up the calendar did them correctly. Note that you'll need to talk to a ward clerk since I don't think stake clerks can edit the settings on ward calendars.

Yes, you will need to talk to your Ward Clerk or Bishop. They may not be aware, but they can set all the Editors by calling. So when you are released, the next EQP will have the Editor rights, just by virtue of the calling being changed in LCR.

In our stake, the presidency, exec sec, and all the clerks are administrators for the stake calendar. Additionally, we have made all the auxiliary and priesthood presidencies Editors for their individual calendars. We have set up all the wards in our stake the same. Again, all is set up by calling, so whenever someone new is sustained they have Editor rights almost immediately.
