Subscription link under settings?

When viewing the calendar, you can expand or collapse the view on the left to see your calendar subscriptions by either clicking on the [>>] button at the top of the view, or from the settings drop down on the top right of the calendar.

The subscriptions toggle link in the drop down only works when you are viewing the calendar. When you are on any other page (options, sync, take a tour, etc.), "subscriptions" still appears in the settings drop down, but when you click on it it just refreshes the page. Is the link supposed to have a different behaviour when not viewing the calendar? Is there a reason why it is displayed on pages that it doesn't work from?
