I'm an Elders Quorum President and recently create a couple new calendars. I spoke to the Ward Clerk and he is unclear on how to approve these calendars, so I can begin using them. Does anyone know the process to get these calendars approved? Thanks in advance.

Refer your ward clerk to the Help Center article Setting Up and Managing Ward Calendars; see in particular the section in that article titled "Approving New Calendars".
