I think you ran into this: Bug: Setup times are blank. If the setup/takedown times are blank, that doesn't mean, "none". It's a crazy large value. That why you are getting those conflicts.

Try creating the event again and make sure the setup and takedown times are filled in.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.
