Date and Time Layout

I like the new look of the calendar. The date and time is far easier to use however when I go to add a time that isn't on the hour :15, :30, :45 the up and down arrows are so close to the date that I inadvertently change the date instead of the minute. It seems like there is plenty of real estate in that area to move the time and date farther apart. I use an iPad Air and a large finger as a stylist.
