Search Method for calendar text

Just as we have searches on the forum, is it possible to institute a search method for text that is part of event names or descriptions. Some events that only occur once or twice a year can be hard to find on the calendar when it is fully populated. Am I missing some tool that may already exist?

There is no search capability built into Calendar. You can use your browser search function to search displayed text only.

Although you can't search the calendar directly, you can search it indirectly by syncing your calendar with some other calendar system that does allow searching. For example, I sync my LDS.org calendar with Google Calendar. My Google Calendar then has great search capabilities, so I can easily find any text in titles or descriptions.

This certainly isn't as convenient as it would be if the LDS.org Calendar had search capabilities built in, but it's not hard at all, and I don't need to search all that often, so it works well for me.

As the Stake Calendar Specialist with responsibility for Ward Calendar Specialists in 7 Wards and the training of Bishoprics and new Presidencies throughout the Stake, I find it incredibly frustrating that an Event cannot be found on the Calendar using a simple Search. FamilySearch is SO advanced in searching, don't you think some of that know-how could be transferred over to the Calendar development so we can have a good Search function?
