Confusing calendar instructions

The pop up announcing the new release of the calendar says this:

"An important change for the 2.5 release is Restrictions (formerly Reservations). A "Restriction" is a block of time where a building/location is assigned to a unit. During that time, only the assigned unit may schedule events in that building. A "reservation" means simply that a specific event is scheduled in a specific building/location and the location is unavailable for other events. "

Am I the only one confused by this? Now we have "restrictions formerly reservations" AND "reservations?"

No, you're in good company. This was discussed a while back in this post and those that follow it.

oooo.... so sorry. I really do try to keep up.

btw: while I am at it. Could we also come up with a way to pay tithing on line?

And another great idea: Allow home teaching and visiting teaching to be updated from LDS.org.

I think those both would be really valuable.

:p

Looking over the other thread, I think it would be best to just take the word "reservation" out of the whole calendar vocabulary. Just leave it at "restrictions" and "schedule an event".

When someone says "I want to reserve the building," you then ask, "do you mean restrict it to your ward, or schedule a particular event?"
