Calendar View includes ALL Calendars

When I sign on, the calendar view includes ALL subscribed calendars even when the box is not "checked". I have to click it and unclick it for the scheduled events to disappear. How do I fix this?

It is a bug. Please see the thread
v2.5 select visible calendars issue. The best way is to switch to week view and deselect all of the "Locations" check boxes.
