YSA wards from another stake use our meetinghouse

I am a stake website administrator. Two YSA wards from another stake use our meetinghouse and stake pavilion for activities. Is there a way to set up leaders from the YSA ward who belong to another stake so that they can schedule events in the meetinghouse located in my stake?

Yes. In Seetings > Locations & Rooms, edit the location for that meetinghouse, and assign those units to be connected to your building. Then they'll be able to create events that book your building. They'll be able to do anything with your building that any calendar editor in your stake can do, and that location will show up on the list of available locations for all members of those YSA wards.

Thank you that is very helpful. What about the stake pavilion? We share our pavilion with another stake (plus the YSA wards). Is there a way they can also schedule my stake pavilion using the stake website calendar?

What I said applies to any location, which would include a location you set up for the pavilion. The agent stake for the location can assign it to any unit. So if your stake is the agent stake for the pavilion, just repeat the steps I gave above. If the other stake is the agent stake, then that stake would have to make the assignment.

Is this a recent change? I understood from my predecessor that in order for another ward or stake to be able to schedule a location onto our ward/stake website that we had to do some complex thing with Facilities Management. So is that no longer correct?

My understanding is that any location can be shared, even if it doesn't exist in FMAT. However, an alternate approach is to work with the FM group to make sure that location is set up in FMAT and is designated in FMAT to belong to both stakes. If you go that route, then you don't have to take the extra step of explicitly assigning the location to the other unit(s); it will happen automatically.

Another question. If I set up the YSA wards (from another stake) and connect them to my building location and if there is only one building scheduler from my stake indicated for that building, will the YSA wards (who are in another stake) be able to "restrict" time slots on my stake's website via their ward's building scheduler?

Only the agent stake has power to set a building scheduler. And it can only be a member of that stake. So no one in the other stake can set a restriction on your building. They can only schedule it.

I thought the location would show up for any member of the stake to which the YSA wards belong? Does it only show up for members of the YSA wards using the building?
