calendars for synch vs viewing

If I were to unsubscribe to all unwanted calendars in order to synch that with my google calendar (assuming it's possible now), can I then subscribe back to other calendars so when I sign onto lds site I can see others? I just don't want all that unneeded info on my phone - thru google calendar - but want to see it on the website when I need to. I wasn't sure how the synch would work then and what would be synched afterwards.
thanks!

That approach would work one time. What happens after that depends on whether you can turn the sync off for your phone. If you can, then you will be living with the calendar data as it existed at the time of the sync. You won't get your unwanted calendars added back in, but you also won't get any updates for the calendars that you have on your phone.

Of course, you could repeat this manual process as often as you want, if you want the stale calendar data on your phone to get refreshed. It's a pain, but if you really want a different list of calendars on your phone vs. LDS.org it's probably all you can do at this point.

A similar request was recently made in the topic One of Two Enhancement Requests (please) (which also links to other discussions for this issue).

The other issue is how you sync. I know for LDS Tools for Android one has the ability to deselect calendars - but I don't think it will display anything on the phone's main calendar. It also does not sync on it's own automatically.

thanks. Yes, that other link is exactly what I'm talking about. I know many who don't want to clutter up their phone with unnecessary events, but do want to see it all when they go to lds.org. Hopefully enough people want this that a resolution will be forthcoming. :)
