Calendar Colours sync & Non members

Hi everyone, just a couple of questions I'd like to throw out there. Most common Calendar members in the stake use is ical. Just like LDS.org Calendar, theres a different colour for each Calendar (ie Blue - Stake, Green - Ward Calendar). When you sync the LDS Calendar with ical, it puts everything in the same colour, is there a way to separate it?

Also one a different topic:

We have non members who attend youth activities weekly, the Young Women's president would like them to sync their phone's with the LDS.org Calendar, so they can see all the youth activities. Is there a way to do this?

No. The LDS Calendars are merged into a single iCal feed, so any third-party calendar you sync with will perceive the LDS Calendar as a single calendar, and thus it must all be the same color.

This same issue was noted during the beta test of the calendar.

[Moderator note: in the future, please only put one issue per post. In this case, the answers are simple and link to existing topics, so we'll let it slide this one time.]

The basic answer is no; nonmembers can't have an LDS Account associated with a ward, and that association is required for access to the Calendar.

This same issue was discussed in a different context at Troop Calendar visible by non-member parents.
