Add New Person (by Name)

#1

Post by cjgrayson »

I'm currently serving as Bishop of the Provo YSA 27th Ward, and am listed as a default administrator for the Calendars for our ward.

While most of the features work well, I'm having a problem when trying to add a new person to the Viewers/Editors list for specific calendars. While adding "by calling" works well, as soon as I select "by name," I can type a name in the text box, but there's no "drop down list" that appears with suggested names, and the Add button never activates.

I've tried making sure that all the members are set to "Stake" visibility in the directory, but still no luck. Since it's a global problem, I'm wondering if there's some issue in MLS I need to address.

I've also noticed that I can't delete names (not the default administrators) from the administrator list for the ward calendars. Whether they've moved from the ward or not doesn't seem to make a difference.

Any help would be appreciated! :)

There have been a number of problems with YSA wards due to their use of out-of-unit leaders. For the time being, you might want to see if you can find a "in-unit" leader who can make the changes. If they can, then we know what the likely source of the problem is - and you get the changes you need now instead of later.
