Does accessing the Calendar on lds.org contribute to the number of syncs, or does the 9 minute throttle only apply to devices subscribing to the generated URL?

As far as we've been told, it's just the URL. But it seems like easy theory to test as things don't always work as intended.

The throttle only applies to devices (which includes servers, desktop computers, etc.) that access your sync URL. The Calendar on LDS.org gets its data using different webservices (as is obvious from the fact that the Sync URL generates a calendar that flattens all the calendars into one), so accessing it has absolutely no impact on the 9-minute throttling.

I have verified this personally through experimentation.

Thanks for this info. I added the clarification from this thread in the calendar help topic in the same section where the 9 minute refresh rule is explained.
