The recent release of the calendar has problems with IE8. See this post and those that follow it. If you can use another browser, that's probably your best solution at the moment. The developers are aware of the problem and are working on a fix.
Questions that can benefit the larger community should be asked in a public forum, not a private message.

There was an upgrade released recently that caused unsuspected problems. Poke around. You will find, um, "several" threads about the recent difficulties. They are being worked on.

But if you use FireFox, it seems to work better

It seems to work on everything but the lower versions of IE that you're stuck with in you're running WinXP. If you're running Win7, upgrade IE.

Otherwise, your choice is 1) Wait 2) Chrome or Firefox.

There could still be some problems with editing and reservations. But they are being worked on. :)

I added this link to another thread, but I'll add it here too. See "Recommended Browsers for LDS.org Tools" at https://tech.lds.org/blog/531-recommended-browsers-for-ldsorg-tools Hopefully that helps strengthen the same browser recommendations made in this post.
