location from another stake showing up in our list of locations?

I just noticed today that we have the Rexburg South Stake Center showing up in our list of locations for the Rigby, Idaho South Stake?

Any stake can add your stake to one of its locations in the lds.org Calendar (using Settings > Locations > Assign Unit to Location). That capability is needed for when a building is shared by units from more than one stake.

But this sounds like a mistake; I'm sure that a Rigby stake doesn't share a building in Rexburg. So I'd recommend that someone in your stake looks up the stake clerk for Rexburg South Stake in CDOL and contacts him to request that he remove your stake from their location.

Thanks.

I will check with Rexburg South Stake to see if they added us for some reason?

You are correct we do not share any buildings or resources with them. We had this same problem occur when version 2.0 came out and we had the Rexburg South stake along with all of their building showing up in our locations so I assumed we were experiencing the same problem?

Maybe I misunderstood your original post.

  • Are you seeing their location showing up in the list of locations available to you when you schedule an event? If so, then my original response is correct.
  • Or when you go into Settings > Locations and examine one or more of your locations, do you see the Rexburg South Stake appearing in the list of Assigned Units?
If it's the latter issue, then my first response is wrong. In that case, you need to remove that stake from your locations (by clicking the X by the stake name in the Assigned Units list for each location). But that's also an indication that there could be another problem. If that stake showed up when V2 came out, and is now showing up again, then it seems likely that FMAT (the database used by FM groups to track buildings and other facility issues) is somehow linking your locations to that Rexburg stake. If that's true, you need to ask your stake's PFR to check out that possibility with your FM group.

The Rexburg South Stake only shows up on the main calendar under the locations section. It does not show up in the list of locations that we can edit or remove.
