Gospel Library for old iPod touch

I just acquired an old iPod touch. I am unsure of the generation, but it will not update past iOS 4.2.1. I wanted to download scriptures onto it to take to church/institute instead of my phone. Is there any way to download an older version of the Gospel Library app? or is there a different free app that I could download?

Nope. A few years ago, I bought a couple 2nd Gen iPods and loaded all the LDS apps onto them. Then a month or two later, the apps tried to update, but could not due to the requirement to move beyond iOS 4. So I just use the 2nd Gen iPods to play music and audiobooks, and bought a 4th Gen iPod for LDS apps.
