Is there a way (as Elders Quorum President) to access the home teaching assignments list as it appears in the MLS on my LDS Tools?
If not... when might we expect to see this feature? This would be an incredibly useful function! It would be much easier when Bishop asks "Who Home Teaches so and so" to pull out my phone than it is to drive to the church, log in, and pull it up in MLS (or to memorize an ever changing list).

No, and no idea.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.
So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.

Re: Home Teaching List?
This probably is requested more than anything else. For now, home teaching and visiting teaching data is only located on MLS computers. It is not sent to Church headquarters. So it is not available for download to LDS Tools.blhancoc wrote:Is there a way . . .

Is there a steering committee or forum on this topic that we could join? How home teaching is reported on, assignments are made & shared within the units and then ultimately shared to church headquarters is a major undertaking by Elder's Quorum presidents and high priest group leaders. Streamlining this could be a significant boost to aid local units.

Re: Home Teaching List?
There's certainly no steering committee that you could join; decisions about home teaching are made by the Priesthood Department under the direction of the general authorities who preside over that department. If you'd like to make a formal suggestion, you can use the Feedback link on the LDS.org home pageBenwhitmer wrote:Is there a steering committee or forum on this topic that we could join?
But in any case you are welcome to discuss the issue here on LDSTech Forum. This is not a place where decisions are made, but it is a helpful resource where people with questions, ideas, experience, and/or suggestions can share their thoughts..
There's no single forum for home teaching; there have been significant discussions in the MLS Support, Help, and Feedback; Leader and Clerk Resources; and Mobile Applications forums (and several other forums as well). Feel free to comment on any of the existing topics, or if you want to start a new discussion, choose an appropriate forum section.
There are two ways to "streamline" home teaching; one is to update the current HT/VT tools (which as I explained above we have little input and no control over) and the other is to learn new ways to improve our use of the current tools. Community discussions are one way that we can learn from each other and improve our effectiveness in this area.Benwhitmer wrote:How home teaching is reported on, assignments are made & shared within the units and then ultimately shared to church headquarters is a major undertaking by Elder's Quorum presidents and high priest group leaders.
