Couldn't find anything regarding the development of a mobile app that would allow access to the resources found in both Leader and Clerk Resources on lds.org.

I would be really helpful to have an app that would allow mobile access to such things (IOS's, callings, quarterly reports, new member reports, temple recommend reports, etc).

Anything out there in the works?

LDS Tools is the best candidate I know of. Version 2 has not been released just yet but has some information editing and reports; I believe. You are welcome to join the Project if you'd like to contribute or learn more about the current status of development.

I created an icon on my home screen for LDS.org on my iPad and frequently access the Leaders and Clerks sites. I am assuming other mobile devices have similar capabilities.

I'll have to try that out, as I was wondering the same question myself. I was just called as ward executive secretary, but also love the new web tools the Church is developing. More please!
